Spiderman No Way Home proved to be one of the biggest movies of 2021 with record breaking business all around the globe. Another thing that people kept discussing about besides the movie itself, was the trailer of the latest installment in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Continuing the saga of the multiverse, Marvel has focused all the upcoming story lines and movies on the highly successful idea of introducing alternate realities and the multiverse.
Coming
off the hit web series What If, the trailer
launched back in December has shown a darker version of the protagonist Dr.
Strange. The new character was first introduced in one of the episodes of What
If, this shows how well structured and interesting Marvel’s storylines are.
Fans immediately recalled seeing the evil Dr. Strange which created a big hype
for the new movie all around the world.
Being
one of the strongest Avenger, Dr. Strange has always been a fan favorite among
the likes of Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor and many more. Building
on the popularity of the Avengers movie series, Marvel has hit the right chord
by having Wanda (The Scarlett Witch) played by Elizabeth Olsen in the film as these
two are among the most powerful superheroes of the MCU. Seeing these two
characters together will be a treat for the loyal fan base all around the
world.
Marvel
has no plans of slowing down and wants to make each movie bigger than the
other. Imagine having all 3 of the Spidermans at the same time fighting the bad
guys, nothing could be bigger and better especially for the Spiderman franchise
fan base. Merging heroes from alternate worlds was one of the most successful
steps from the giant comic company. A small clip in the new trailer launched 2
weeks back, also shows the famous wheelchair of Professor Xavier from the X-men
movies. Does this mean we can expect a crossover between the Avengers and
X-men? It is highly possible as both these franchises are produced by Marvel.
It
seems that the new Dr. Strange slated for May 6th release will be
another huge hit, as it shows promising multiverse realities and also some dope
action sequences in its bag. The standards set by Avengers Endgame have
increased the expectations of the audience, how well would Dr. Strange in the
Multiverse of Madness would meet these expectations will be seen next
month when the movie releases.
